Patricia Van Dalen assesses Neutroni’s Color Project
The Venezuelan plastic artist visited the Neutroni shop at Millennium Mall in Caracas and expressed her impressions about the Color Project of our t-shirts for men and women, which she defined as “a joy for the eyes.”

Caracas, October 09. Patricia Van Dalen, Venezuelan visual artist, was invited to assess the Neutroni Color Project, which proposes a series of 39 color nuances for its t-shirts.
The first thing that called the artist’s attention was the selection of these nuances and the way in which they have been showed: “I like that, contrary to the order in which the ray of light is broken down into what we know as the rainbow (i.e. from red to violet), you have broken down the visible solar spectrum and have taken it towards the sides, beginning with yellow and finishing with lime, leaving in the center the extreme colors of the spectrum (magenta, violet and blue).” According to Van Dalen, the effect obtained is “a harmonic proposal based on a new interpretation of the chromatic circle.”

The Neutroni team worked during more than one year to conceive this concept, which has been meticulously developed. “We worked in the color laboratory of a Peruvian textile fabric, where it is possible to obtain the exact tone that you are looking for and repeat it as many times as you wish. For that reason, we can offer our customers the specific color they need, always with the same nuance,” said Kika Alcega, Neutroni’s cofounder and director.

Neutroni’s proposal puts over textiles of excellent quality a wide array of colors which includes yellow, orange, magenta, purple, blue and green in three different tones (medium, dark and clear) and reaching up to 39 different nuances. Besides, Neutroni has the basic colors of a wardrobe: white, black and gray mélange. Each one of these colors has a numerical code and a name. “For impression, we use the PANTONE FORMULA GUIDE ®, and for textiles, we go to PANTONE TPX ®,” said Alcega. “I like t-shirts with the names of the colors of the TPX GUIDE, as orange peel, paradise pink, turquoise and cadmium green, because they stimulate the sensory resonances and activate your color memory. Besides, you can use these names or codes to refer to any specific color in any place of the world,” added Van Dalen.

Under the concept “Self-service store” that Neutroni is using in it’s stores, the display of products is made according to consumer necessities. “We want people to come here looking for basic clothes and to be able to acquire them all in one place,” explained Kika Alcega.
According to the artist, the experience of visiting the store and the exhibition are very important. “It is a joy for the eyes. I like to see such a variety of color,” she added.
Likewise, the experience for visiting our exhibition was contagious for her. “One leaves the store and arrives home wanting to arrange the closet by nuances. I think that the chromatic effect is excellent, it makes us want to live according to Neutroni’s proposal, surrounded by colors,” she explained.
